YOUR MISSION:
For our Product Assurance Team, we are looking for an experienced Product Assurance Engineer to support a wide range of activities, mainly in the Galileo project. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the end-to-end PA activities for the operations of the Ground Control Segment (GCS). The candidate should have experience working on complex systems with HW and SW components in a highly regulated industry. The candidate shall also have excellent communication skills, as an important part of the role is to represent the consortium in external boards and ensuring that relevant processes are being followed. The role is based in Oberpfaffenhofen, but it might require business trips.
Your responsibilities:
- Contributing to the development and optimization of PA/QA processes
- Checking the implementation of processes in the project and ensuring adherence to metrics and KPIs
- Preparing and leading the daily and weekly Observation Review Boards
- Coordinating (on weekly basis) the Anomaly Review Boards: preparing the agenda, moderating the discussion and post-processing of data in relevant tools
- Coordination of topics and actions related to ticket and anomaly resolution by participating in internal meetings and through offline follow-up
- PA support for deployment activities
- Performing internal and external process audits
- Contribution to risk management and lessons learned processes.
- Monthly and quarterly PA reporting to the customer
- Supporting LEOP missions as PA Manager on console (after training and certification)
YOUR QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or similar relevant technical field
- Experience in Product Assurance or Quality Assurance, preferably also in Software Quality Assurance
- Experience in quantitative Product Assurance with metrics and KPIs, preferably from a highly-regulated industry
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-changing environment with many stakeholders, often with differing interests
- Experience in working in multidisciplinary teams
- Structured way of working, attention to detail
- Experience in Systems Engineering or Project Management would be an asset
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python) and experience with AI/Machine Learning tools will be considered an asset
- Knowledge of ECSS standards would be an asset
- Previous experience in the Galileo project would be beneficial but is not essential
- Advanced level of English is mandatory, German is a plus
