YOUR MISSION:
As an L2 Network Specialist, you will be part of the core maintenance team responsible for corrective, preventive, and adaptive maintenance of complex network infrastructures. You will act as an escalation point for L1 and collaborate closely with L3 engineers to resolve advanced issues and implement improvements. This role requires strong technical expertise in networking and a proactive approach to problem-solving in high-availability environments.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Diagnose and resolve network-related incidents (LAN, WAN, VPN, Firewalls, Routing, Switching).
- Provide escalation support for L1 and coordinate with L3 for complex cases.
- Perform maintenance procedures and ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues.
- Support incident resolution and root cause analysis.
- Participate in major infrastructure upgrades and release activities.
- Maintain and evolve troubleshooting platforms and documentation.
- Contribute to configuration management and continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
YOUR QUALIFICATION:
- Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in L2 support with a strong focus on networking.
- CCNP certification is mandatory, CCIE or equivalent is preferred.
- Your technical skills comprise:
- Protocols: TCP/IP, Multicast, VRRP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS.
- Network equipment: Cisco, Alcatel, HPE/Aruba, Sophos, Stormshield, Juniper, Fortinet, or equivalent.
- Security: Firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS.
- Monitoring tools: Nagios, Zabbix, SNMP, SolarWinds.
- Linux administration and scripting.
- Virtualization technologies (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Desirable: Knowledge of automation tools as well as experience with network design and configuration
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills as well as excellent communication and teamwork
- Ability to work under pressure and meet SLA targets
- English at least at B2 level
