DLR GfR mbH is a company providing reliable, safe and secure aerospace services. We operate and manage the constellation of Galileo satellites in the Galileo Control Center Oberpfaffenhofen on behalf of the European Commission.

YOUR MISSION:

As part of our IT department, the IT Infrastructure Group is responsible for our networks, our data centers internally and in the cloud as well as various Galileo support systems.

As an IT Network Administrator you will assume the following duties:

Operation and maintenance of our network environments: Together with your team colleagues, you will look after the switches and firewalls at our locations as well as the network configuration in the cloud and ensure highly available and secure operation
Integration of updates and new configurations: You maintain the software versions of the systems and make any necessary changes to rules and regulations
Further development and control of network security: Together with other teams, you will continuously develop the environment, adapt new functionalities and constantly increase the level of security

YOUR QUALIFICATION:

A Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
Proven experience in the implementation and operation of complex Arista or Cisco LAN environments
Experience with hybrid firewall solutions from Palo Alto or Fortinet
Certifications in the areas of information security and firewall technologies are an advantage
Solid knowledge of IT security and IT infrastructure
Willingness to participate in on-call duty
Business fluent German (C1) and good English skills (B2)
