YOUR MISSION:

As an Antenna Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible the maintenance of the Galileo Antenna elements, including troubleshooting and hardware repair activities from our Antenna workbench in Madrid, as well as traveling to remote sites to perform maintenance activities and supervise the maintenance activities of the local teams.  
 
Your key responsibilities include: 
  • Travel to Remote Sites: Regularly visit remote antenna sites to perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary repairs.
  • Maintenance Activities: 
    • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on antennas, towers, and related equipment.
    • Troubleshoot and Repair Antenna Hardware Components
    • Keep Testbench and Troubleshooting environment aligned with the operations system
  • Supervision: Oversee and coordinate the activities of local teams, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and maintenance procedures.
  • Technical Support: Provide on-site technical support and guidance to local teams, assisting with complex technical issues and ensuring proper resolution.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Prepare detailed reports on site conditions and work completed. Maintain Maintenance databases, inventory lists and ABCLs
  • Compliance: Ensure all work complies with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Safety: Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all team members follow safety guidelines and use appropriate protective equipment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices for site maintenance and team management.

YOUR QUALIFICATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or technical certification in the related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in telecommunications, electrical, or mechanical maintenance, with a focus on antenna systems and remote site maintenance.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing telecommunications equipment. Knowledge of RF technology, antennas, and infrastructure.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to remote locations, sometimes on short notice.
  • Ability to work at heights, climb towers, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
