INTERNSHIP – L2 Ground Segment Cyber Maintenance Support (Galileo)

YOUR MISSION:
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Support the deployment of cybersecurity patches in the Maintenance Environment (MATE)
- Execute regression testing activities after patch deployment to ensure system stability
- Collect, organize, and document test results and technical evidence
- Support the preparation of Implementation Plans for deploying cybersecurity patches into operational environments
- Support the planning, coordination, and monitoring of patch deployments
- Support reporting activities, including preparation of status updates and maintenance reports
You will gain hands-on experience in operating and maintaining a complex ground segment in an international, highly technical environment. The Galileo Ground Segment Cyber Maintenance domain is continuously evolving, providing exposure to real-world operational constraints and engineering best practices.
YOUR QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree student (or recent graduate) in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Aerospace, Physics, or a related field
- Interest in cybersecurity, software maintenance, and operational environments
- Motivation to learn, take initiative, and proactively support team activities
- Ability to understand technical instructions and work independently when required
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in parallel
- Intermediate English level (spoken and written)
- Self-motivated and responsible, with the ability to meet deadlines with limited supervision
PREFERABLE:
Basic knowledge or interest in:
- Linux/Unix environments
- Software patching
- Testing or validation activities
- Cybersecurity concepts (vulnerabilities, patches, hardening)
- Interest in working with structured processes and documentation
- Curiosity for space programmes, large-scale systems, and international projects
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving attitude
