YOUR MISSION:
As part of the GNSS Resilience team, you will actively contribute to the detection of disruptions in European and international satellite navigation systems. In anti-jamming and anti-spoofing projects such as JASP-R and RESIST, you will combine engineering research with practical technology development and work closely with software teams and scientific partners. Our goal is to meet customer requirements and further develop our products in a way that benefits our customers and society.
- Prototyping & simulation environments: You will develop rapid prototypes (Python 3, MATLAB, Bash) and build simulation frameworks for GNSS signals, satellite orbits, and interference scenarios – and you will continuously maintain and further develop them.
- Test execution & statistical analysis: You will plan, conduct, and evaluate laboratory and field tests – including comprehensive performance analyses (e.g., ROC curves, PFA/PMD, confidence intervals).
- Technical roadmap & feasibility assessment: You will contribute to the strategic development of the signal processing components and evaluate new algorithms and services based on current customer and development goals.
- Technical expertise & technology scouting: You will continuously deepen your expertise in GNSS resilience and mathematical signal processing and analyze current scientific publications to ensure our technological lead.
- Project support & documentation: You will create technical specifications, scientific reports, and presentations. You will also support project acquisition, customer workshops, and the structured transfer of validated prototypes to operational software development.
YOUR QUALIFICATION:
- You have successfully completed a degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering/communications engineering, geodesy/geomatics, or a comparable scientific and technical field.
- Experience in GNSS resilience and satellite navigation is what you already have – in particular with GNSS jamming and spoofing detection systems. If you've already worked on the direct detection of GNSS interference from space, that's a clear advantage.
- You are familiar with software development with a focus on rapid prototyping using Python 3, as well as with the safe use of Linux and database management systems. -
- Very good English skills – written and spoken – are part of your toolkit.
