DLR GfR mbH is a company providing reliable, safe and secure aerospace services. We operate and manage the constellation of Galileo satellites in the Galileo Control Center Oberpfaffenhofen on behalf of the European Commission.
Our company headquarters is located in an area widely known as a holiday destination - the five-lakes region in Upper Bavaria near Munich. YOUR MISSION:

  • Definition of short- and long-term security goals, development of appropriate strategies 
  • Management of cyber requirements within the Galileo project
  • Continuous review and maintenance of processes, as well as quality management
  • Overall cyber vulnerability management within the Galileo structure
  • Coordination tasks in relation to incident response
  • Provide technical advice on complex issues
  • Assess the current risk situation and implement measures to minimize risks
  • Ensure that internal and external security standards are met
  • Review system architectures with regard to cyber security requirements
  • Represent cyber security in board meetings and other senior management bodies
  • Report to stakeholders and close collaboration with other stakeholders of the Galileo project
  • Develop, define, and implement awareness programs within the company

The workplace is is Munich. 

YOUR QUALIFICATION:

  • Completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a comparable field in a technical area (e.g., Engineering with components from IT security)
  • At least three years of professional experience in the Cyber Security field
  • Experience in EU projects or in international projects
  • Experience in Change Management and Compliance Management
  • Professional experience in Quality Management and technical documentation
  • Very good understanding of complex relationships and dynamics in projects
  • Negotiation skills and assertiveness
  • Very good English skills, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel

The following qualification would be an advantage:

  • Understanding of the current security and threat situation
  • Experience in the EU Galileo project and the Galileo Ground Control Segment
  • Certifications in IT security (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISO) or the willingness to acquire them in the near future
